I can’t pay my bill right now. What can I do?
If you are unable to pay your Nova bill by the due date, there are a few options available depending on how long the bill has been unpaid and your ability to make a payment arrangement.
What happens if I do not pay by the due date?
If a bill is not paid by the due date, late payment interest is added to the invoice amount from the bill’s payment date. Late payment interest is then calculated daily until the payment is received.
How long do I have before the bill is sent to collections?
Individuals have 30 days from the due date to pay the bill before it is sent to Inkasso for collection.
Companies have 20 days from the due date to pay the bill before it is sent to Inkasso for collection.
When will my service be suspended?
If bills remain unpaid 32 days after the due date, the service will be suspended. This applies to both individuals and companies.
Can my service be temporarily reopened?
If the bill has not been paid within this timeframe, Nova may be able to provide a 24-hour reopening, or in some cases a longer temporary reopening, for the payer.
This may be possible if the customer believes they can resolve the matter shortly, or if bills are being reviewed and the case is being resolved.
Can I make a payment arrangement?
If you are unable to pay the bill, it may be possible to set up a payment arrangement for up to 6 months.
A payment representative can complete the arrangement directly with Nova. It is also possible to make a payment arrangement through Inkasso.
As a general rule, all unpaid bills are included in the arrangement unless otherwise agreed. Services are moved to a prepaid subscription while the payment arrangement is being paid off.
What if my bill is being collected by Motus?
For bills that are in collection with Motus, the customer must contact Motus directly to agree on and complete payment arrangements.
