Static Internal IP Assignment to a Specific Device (4G/5G)

This guide will show you how to assign a static internal IP address to a specific device on your home network using a Nova 4G or 5G router. This is useful if you want to ensure a device, such as a printer or gaming console, always keeps the same internal IP address.

Why is this important?

Assigning a static IP makes port forwarding easier, increases network stability, and ensures certain services are always accessible at the same address.

Materials needed

• Nova 4G/5G/5G+ router
• Computer or mobile device connected to the router
• Web browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge)

Step 1: Log into the router’s web interface

1. Connect to the router via WiFi or ethernet.
2. Open your browser and enter the router’s IP address, typically 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.8.1.
3. Log in with your username and password (see the router sticker or Nova’s instructions).

Step 2: Find your device’s MAC address

1. Open the list of connected devices (may be called "Device List", "LAN Devices", etc.).
2. Find the device to assign the IP to and note its MAC address.

Step 3: Assign a static IP to the MAC address
