What do the lights on eero mean?
The LED light on your eero shows the status of the device. When everything is working normally, the light is usually solid white.
The light can help you see whether your eero is connected, in setup mode, or unable to reach the internet.
Common eero lights
Solid white light
Your eero is online and working normally.
This usually means the device is connected to the internet and your network is working as expected.
Blue light
Your eero is ready for setup or pairing.
You may see this when setting up eero for the first time or when adding a new eero in the app.
Blinking blue light
Your eero is in Bluetooth pairing mode and is connecting to the eero app.
Wait a moment and follow the instructions in the app.
Red light
Your eero is offline or cannot reach the internet.
This can mean there is an issue with the internet connection, cable, modem / fibre box, or gateway eero.
What should I do if the light is red?
- Check that your modem or fibre box is powered on.
- Make sure the Ethernet cable is firmly connected to both eero and the modem / fibre box.
- Unplug your eero from power for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Wait a few minutes while eero tries to reconnect.
- Open the eero app and check whether it shows more information about the issue.
If the light stays red or the internet does not come back online, contact Nova.
Good to know
If eero is being set up, a blue or blinking blue light can be normal.
If eero has already been working and suddenly shows a red light, it is more likely that the device cannot reach the internet.
