eero for business is a WiFi solution for small and medium-sized businesses that need simple, reliable and strong wireless coverage.

eero uses mesh WiFi, where multiple eero devices can work together to improve coverage across the premises. This can work well for offices, shops, reception areas, small warehouses, studios and other business locations where WiFi needs to work well in more than one area.

eero for business is an add-on for an eero network. It gives businesses more ways to manage their network, separate different types of devices and offer guests a more customised WiFi experience.

Separate networks for different needs

With eero for business, you can create up to four separate WiFi networks, also called SSIDs. An SSID is the WiFi network name that appears when devices connect to WiFi.

The main network for employees and general business connectivity.

Guest

A guest network for customers, visitors or contractors. Guest devices only get access to the internet and cannot access devices on the business LAN.

Business

Custom guest WiFi

eero for business gives you more guest WiFi options than a standard eero network.

  • decide how long each guest session should last

To get the best coverage, it is important to place eero devices correctly.

Good placement tips:

  • place the main eero near where the internet connection enters the premises
  • keep eero devices as central as possible
  • avoid placing eero inside closed cabinets
  • avoid placing eero behind metal objects or large appliances
  • add more eero devices if the premises are large or have thick walls
  • place additional eero devices where they can get a good signal from the nearest eero

If an area that needs WiFi is far from the main eero, additional eero devices may be needed.

What do I need before setting up eero for business?

Before starting, you need:

  • an active Nova internet connection
  • a fibre box or other equipment where the connection enters the premises
  • eero devices
  • eero for business active on the network
  • power near each eero location
  • an Ethernet cable for the main eero

No. eero for business is an add-on for the eero network and works with your existing internet connection. The business still needs an active Nova internet connection.

What is the difference between standard eero and eero for business?

A standard eero network is good for simple WiFi. eero for business adds business-focused features, such as multiple WiFi networks, customised guest WiFi, a guest login page, guest usage limits and better device separation.

Can I have more than one WiFi network?

Yes. With eero for business, you can use up to four networks: Main, Guest, Business and IoT.

Can I create guest WiFi with terms and conditions?

Yes. The guest network can use a captive portal, which is a login page where guests can see information, accept terms and connect to WiFi.

Can I limit how much guests use the network?

Yes. You can set bandwidth and session duration limits for the guest network.

Yes. The Business network can be used for business-critical devices and kept separate from guest devices.
