Enable VoLTE on Android

This guide explains how to enable VoLTE (Voice over LTE) on Android phones. VoLTE allows you to make voice calls over the 4G/LTE network instead of falling back to older mobile networks.

Why enabling VoLTE is important

When VoLTE is enabled, you can benefit from:

  • Better call quality

  • Faster call setup

  • The ability to use mobile data while on a call

  • Improved coverage in areas where 2G/3G networks are limited

Materials needed

  • An Android smartphone that supports VoLTE

  • A Nova SIM card

  • 4G/LTE coverage

  • The latest available software update installed on your phone

Step 1: Open Settings

  1. Open Settings on your Android phone.

  2. Tap Connections or Network & Internet (the name may vary depending on the device).

Step 2: Go to mobile network settings

  1. Tap Mobile networks.

  2. Select your Nova SIM card if you use a dual-SIM phone.

Step 3: Enable VoLTE

  1. Find VoLTE calls4G Calling, or Voice over LTE.

  2. Toggle the setting on.

Note: The wording and menu layout may differ slightly depending on the phone manufacturer (for example Samsung, Google Pixel, or OnePlus).

Step 4: Restart your phone (recommended)

Restarting your phone ensures that the settings are fully applied to the network.
