This guide walks you through enabling VoWiFi (Voice over WiFi) on your Samsung phone. This lets you make calls over a WiFi connection when cellular signal is weak or unavailable.
Why VoWiFi is important
VoWiFi ensures better call reliability in locations with poor or no GSM coverage. It's especially useful in basements, rural areas, or buildings with thick concrete walls.
Materials needed
- A VoWiFi-compatible Samsung smartphone
- An active Nova SIM card
- A working WiFi connection
Step 1: Open settings
Go to the Settings app on your Samsung device.
Step 2: Select "Connections"
Tap on Connections.
Step 3: Open "Mobile network"
Tap on Mobile network.
Step 4: Enable "Wi-Fi Calling"
Toggle the switch next to Wi-Fi Calling to the ON position.
🔍 If you don’t see the option: You may need to go to the Phone app → More (⋮) → Settings → Wi-Fi Calling.
Summary
VoWiFi on Samsung devices is a simple but powerful feature that helps you stay connected when mobile networks are weak. Once enabled, your calls will automatically use WiFi when available.
