Introduction
Before sending your iPhone for repair or selling it, it's essential to turn off "Find My iPhone" (FMI). This ensures the new owner can activate the device and repair technicians can service it.
Method 1: Turn off FMI on the device

Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi.

Open Settings and tap your name at the top.

Select Find My.

Tap Find My iPhone.

Toggle off Find My iPhone by sliding the switch to the left.

Enter your Apple ID password to confirm.

Wait for confirmation that FMI has been turned off.
Method 2: Turn off FMI via iCloud.com

Go to iCloud.com/find in a browser.

Sign in with your Apple ID.

Select All Devices and then your device.

Choose Remove from Account to remove the device from your account.
